Newport is hiring for a new position. We are in search of a dynamic, focused leader to execute our engagement marketing and go-to-market plans for products and services available direct to participants. We are re-imagining how we market our products and services, strengthen client & user engagement, and drive loyalty. This role will drive engagement strategy and content for products focused on participants within our retirement plan services including developing and implementing strategies and new break-through initiatives that will increase new participant enrollments, product adoptions and reduce outflows and participant inertness.

 A successful candidate will be:

  • A strong influencer who can partner with other lines of business and functional experts to create and  execute programs flawlessly
  • Data driven and analytical creative thinker able to understand and process multiple initiatives even when faced with ambiguity
  • Capable of prioritizing the highest value initiatives, ensuring they are aligned with business strategy, and not distracted by lower-value requests, all without alienating business partners

Essential Duties and Responsibilities may include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Design and execute a comprehensive go-to-market strategy, including deepening efforts, client engagement & loyalty programs – all supported by a strong performance discipline, and a comprehensive testing and optimization roadmap.
  2. Drive increased personalization and improved targeting of plan sponsor and participant marketing, communications and education initiatives.
  3. Develop deep understanding of consumer insights to determine the value proposition, critical customer journeys and needs for each business segment.
  4. Lead and partner with content, design and development teams to deliver relevant and personalized content and insight as part of the broader marketing and client experience.
  5. Collaborate, initiate and lead the development of enhancements focused on participant engagement within our digital experiences.
  6. Be a customer advocate – champion consistent and seamless user experiences across all channels.
  7. Develop relationships and partner with other teams throughout the organization to understand client onboarding, engagement and ongoing relationship quality metrics and how they can influence and enhance initiatives.
  8. Identify, lead and nurture a motivated team, committed to success and recognized as strong partners and collaborators across the organization.

Required Education and/or Experience

  • 10+ years of marketing, strategy and analytics experience in Retirement Services, Wealth Management or Finance
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Creative, original thinker able to apply a proven ability to synthesize information and find unexpected connections
  • Focus on how marketing drives quantifiable business results
  • Strong relationship skills and ability to lead through collaboration
  • Independent thinker with high EQ and a bias to execution speed, while never losing sight of the importance in the quality of their work
  • Proven ability to promote a strong control environment, adhere to risk/control, procedure and process expectations, while appropriately challenging to deliver what’s best for the client and customer.
  • Proven understanding of retirement services industry and competitive landscape
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to articulate complex issues in a concise, simple and relevant manner to all levels within the business
  • Travel up to 20%
