Retirement Plan Support Specialist

Hills Pension Associates is an independent, full service retirement plan administration and consulting firm, specializing in the design, administration and implementation of Qualified and Non-Qualified Retirement plans for small to medium sized business. 

We are seeking a strong motivated, detailed oriented professional to work with our Retirement Plan Administrators managing day to day tasks and workflow.

Responsibilities:

  • Point of contact for distributions and loans
  • Point of contact for Implementation and conversion of Retirement Plans
  • Trust Accounting, preparation and reconciling of conversions
  • Census scrub and Compensation reconciliation
  • Work with Advisors, CPA’s and Platform vendors to build team relationship, become familiar with their products, services, forms and website and keeping them updated
  • Updating process and procedures for distributions and loans
  • Monitor delinquent loan reports; contact employees to make arrangements; coordinates loan default and set up process with Plan Sponsor
  • Upload vesting to clients Platform
  • Update logs for workflow
  • Active contribution to the development of processes and procedures as they develop.  We value creativity and innovation
  • Assist in special projects as needed; perform other related tasks as required
  • Quote ERISA Bonds and updating data base
  • Other administrative tasks needed

Knowledge and Skills

  • Strong Word, Excel, and Outlook skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Strong math skills (reconciling, accounting or finance)
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize, manage tasks and meet deadlines
  • Knowledge of the retirement plan industry, Designations with ASPPA or NIPA a plus
  • Knowledge of FT Williams a plus

Current position requires 25 to 40 hours per week depending on the time of year and deadlines.  HPA offers a flexible working schedule, 12 paid holidays, health benefits and PTO.
