Position may be worked out of any of our offices: Bingham Farms, MI; Wakefield, MA; Melville, NY and Manhattan, NY.  Remote employment also considered. 

GENERAL SUMMARY

The Conversion Project Manager (PM) implements new retirement and cafeteria plans to meet the expectations of the client and coordinates effectively with other departments and vendors to allow for a seamless transition into Sentinel’s ongoing administrative process.  This is a consultative role where the PM is the first representation of Sentinel and its five foundational values: Integrity, Excellence, Empowerment, Expertise, and Innovation.  The role demands a high level of skill in organization and communication (both in writing and in leading conference calls).  In addition, the PM may coordinate plan transfers to successor Recordkeepers/TPAs and full plan terminations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Onboard new retirement and cafeteria clients to Sentinel’s recordkeeping and administrative platforms.  This includes overseeing the transfer and re-investment of plan assets.
  • Create a positive transition experience for the client through conference call consultation and consistent email updates and progress reports
  • Coordinate document accumulation phase for Retirement implementation and conversion cases
  • Review retirement plan case submissions to ensure set-up paperwork is accurate, complete, and in good order
  • Communicate service expectations, conversion procedures, and timing standards to clients, internal departments, and vendors
  • Identify issues encountered during plan installation process
  • Track and monitor all transition milestones using project management tools
  • Coordinate and collaborate internal departments (Contributions, Trading, Documents, and Plan Consulting teams) to successfully implement a client into Sentinel
  • Ensure successful and complete client transition from the New Business team to the respective ongoing Plan Consulting and Service Center teams
  • Coordinate document accumulation phase for services terminations.  Coordinate transfer process with plan sponsor and new provider

  • Ability to work independently

PREPARATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of formal education and work experience
  • 4+ years defined contribution experience, preferable in a conversion and / or plan administration role
  • Experience with Relius Recordkeeping System preferred but not required
  • Experience with Infor CRM application preferred but not required
