We have an immediate local or telecommute opening for a Retirement Plan Administrator with experience in both defined benefits (DB) AND defined contributions (DC).  In this role, you will manage a case load of simple and complex retirement plans and move them through the entire pension administration cycle, including plan consulting, compliance testing, Form 5500 preparation, and other activities like loans, amendments, corrections and distributions.

Qualified Administrator Candidates will have:

  • At least five years of TPA firm experience;
  • A superior understanding of plan documents and the annual lifecycle of plans;
  • Working knowledge of IRS, DOL, ERISA and PBGC rules and regulations governing the operation and administration of qualified retirement plans as well as generally accepted practice and procedures;
  • Ability to work with a variety of recordkeeping vendors;
  • Previous Defined Benefits experience will make your resume stand out, but we’ll provide training if your DC skills are already strong;
  • Superior verbal and written communication, organizational, and follow-up skills;
  • ASPPA/NIPA credentials or equivalent experience and experience with ASC software is preferred;
  • Proven experience with Microsoft Office Suite, with emphasis on Excel , and familiarity with internet;
  • Proven time management, organizational, multi-tasking, prioritization, and follow up skills in a rapidly changing environment; and
  • A keen sense of humor!
