Retirement Planning Services is seeking an experienced Cash Balance / Defined Contribution Analyst. The successful candidate will maintain a block of about 100 clients with daily help from office assistants who perform many of the work tasks in order to allow our analysts to focus on higher level tasks and to provide exemplary client service. The successful candidate must be able to work in a self-motivated environment; demonstrate critical thinking abilities; have strong attention to detail, and be customer focused. This position involves working directly with our enrolled actuaries.

The position offers a competitive compensation and benefits plan.

Analyst responsibilities include (but not limited to) the following:

  • Experienced in handling all aspects of qualified retirement plan administration for Cash Balance and Defined Contribution plans
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent related experience and a minimum 5+years of experience. This position salary will be commensurate with the years of experience
  • Should have NIPA or full ASPPA designation
  • Preference for those who have experience with Relius, FTW and Pension Pro software
  • Ensures client satisfaction through the successful completion of complex qualified and pension calculations
  • Researches and resolves client issues working in collaboration with plan actuaries, plan administrator, and others
  • Experience with Defined Benefit and PBGC terminations
  • Meets all internal and external deadlines
  • Ability to prioritize and work under tight deadlines; results oriented
  • Must be self-motivated and flexible to thrive in a remote environment
