Plan Document Specialist

Aimpoint Pension

in Pompano Beach FL / Telecommute

Job Responsibilities include:

  • Draft plan documents for new client plans
  • Quality Control for drafted documents
  • Source for various team members for document questions
  • Analyze existing plan documents for new clients transitioning plan services
  • Communicate with various recordkeepers and financial advisors plan design provisions
  • Ability to determine and communicate to external and internal partners suggested changes/enhancements to plan document
  • Draft and restate 401k, 403b and 457 plan documents for new and existing clients
  • Draft plan amendments
  • Draft and review SPD’s, SMM’s, Annual Plan Notices, etc. for delivery to plan sponsors and plan participants
  • Assist with various IRS filings, including but not limited to VCP filing assistance
  • Lead technical research to determine ERISA compliance and best practices for client requests, law changes, provision interpretations, etc.
  • Assist with development of internal processes and training team members to accommodate ERISA law changes and/or IRS/DOL bulletins
  • Assist plan administrative team

Additional information about Position

  • Bachelor’s degree suggested
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to clearly, confidently and professionally convey complex subject matter in an approachable way
  • A minimum of 3+ years Plan Document experience
  • Excellent analytical, and organization skills; attention to detail
  • Preferred ASPPA or NIPA industry Credentials
  • Commitment to working in a team environment
