General Description

July Business Services is a national retirement plan services firm headquartered in Waco, Texas with a nationwide remote workforce. JULY provides high quality retirement plan administration services, including a 401(k) recordkeeping platform, plan administration services, and integrated payroll to investment advisors, employers, and employees across the U.S.  

We are now seeking candidates for the position of Participant Services Associate to work on a team with other retirement plan professionals to support the service needs of our retirement plan clients and their participants. This position will be a great starting point to learn the retirement plan industry. You will gain the knowledge needed to further your career and earn industry certifications.

Objectives and Duties

  • Successfully respond to incoming phone calls and emails from retirement plan participants and solo plan sponsors
  • Communicate effectively, professionally and knowledgably with clients, participants, advisors and co-workers
  • Support Distributions team for participant retirement plan withdrawal requests
  • Participate in on-going training to gain comprehensive knowledge of retirement plans
  • Collaborate with team members to continually improve department and company performance
  • Request information from plan sponsors as requested by other JULY departments
  • Assist Client Relationship Managers when necessary
  • Utilize strong communication and service skills to exceed the needs of clients
  • Meet predefined individual, departmental, and company key performance indicators (KPIs)

Skills / Experience / Credentials

  • 2+ years of customer service or retirement plan experience
  • Strong written and verbal customer service skills
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and follow tasks through to completion
  • Desire and willingness to serve clients and be empathetic to their needs
  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
