What you will do:

A My Benefits, LLC Pension Analyst is responsible for taking direct ownership for administering, communicating and consulting with financial advisors and their business owner clients.  This highly motivated, dynamic and articulate individual must be dedicated to help support the success of teammates, clients and partners.  Your personal interaction skills will be heavily utilized when communicating meaningful deliverables to financial services professionals, business owners, human resource professionals and colleagues.  As a My Benefits, LLC Pension Analyst, you will be joining a collaborative team of peers and colleagues working on game-changing retirement plan solutions.

My Benefits, LLC is committed to helping individuals grow their careers in the $5.3 trillion 401(k) retirement plan industry.  Our subject matter experts are committed to the development of coachable individuals to ensure that team members gain the industry knowledge, skills and credentials to develop and grow both personally and professionally.  In addition, our collaborative team approach ensures a plan administrator is provided with the necessary tools, resources and support to deliver meaningful results to financial advisors, plan sponsors and retirement plan participants. 

Job Responsibilities include:

  • Retrieve, log and save client census data and annual questionnaires
  • Process participant withdrawal requests 
  • Send required reporting documentation to plan sponsor
  • Retrieve yearly statements from record keeping vendors
  • Reconciliation of asset and broker statements, as needed
  • Preparation of draft Form 5500 and related schedules from Asset Reconciliations
  • Prepare and upload current year data to compliance system
  • Answer questions for clients regarding the website and data transmission
  • Run/evaluate employee eligibility including identifying HCE/Key employees.
  • Prepare census workbook for Plan Admin review (working census)
  • Obtain and upload vendor data to compliance system
  • Working knowledge of all vendor platforms
  • Complete Asset reconciliation workbook including contribution reconciliations by participant, as needed.
  • Identify receivables and work with client to reconcile any variances in contributions.
  • Draft 8955 SSA as needed.
  • Answer inbound calls from Financial Advisors and Plan Sponsors.
  • Provide accurate and timely responses to technical questions, requests for information or navigating our Plan Sponsor Link or issues.
  • When necessary escalate calls to the Plan Admin for higher level technical consulting.
  • Return calls/messages received before 3:00 pm in same day.
  • Work with internal teams to ensure the highest level of customer service.
  • Special projects including but not limited to RMD’s, Plan Notices, and Force Out

What you need to bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Excellent math, analytical, and organization skills; attention to detail
  • Commitment to working in a team environment
  • Highly coachable
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Office suite of products 
  • Goes the extra mile without being asked
