Aimpoint Pension is a fast paced, employee empowered organization with the goal of becoming the best TPA in the industry.  We strive to support our plan sponsor, advisor and CPA clients in every aspect of running the sponsors retirement plan. 

We are expanding our DB side of the business and are currently seeking a dynamic, knowledgeable person to grow with our group.  You will work from your home office with the support of AimPoint Pension.

The person chosen will have knowledge of traditional defined benefit, cash balance and combined plans, but not need to be an “expert”. 

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Determination of plan eligibility, benefit or contribution levels, optimum and maximum tax deductible amounts;
  • Reconciliation of plan assets;
  • Performance of annual testing to demonstrate satisfaction of IRS coverage and non-discrimination requirements;
  • Preparation of annual IRS/DOL Form 5500 and related schedules;
  • Preparation of PBGC premium filings;
  • Ability to compose business correspondence as well as communicate with clients verbally.

Qualifications required:

  • 3+ years experience in DB administration;
  • Calculation of normal retirement benefit, accrued benefit and present value of benefit;
  • Calculation of funding requirements and maximum deductible contribution;
  • Working knowledge of ERISA, IRS, DOL, and PBGC rules and regulations:
  • Earned income calculation for pension purposes for an unincorporated employer;
  • Knowledge and familiarity with Excel, Word, PensionPro, Datair and ftWilliam (preferred but not a must)
