WHAT THIS OPPORTUNITY OFFERS

In this exciting role, you'll represent Mutual of America in a sales and consultative capacity by marketing and selling 401(k), 403(b) and 457 products to organizations and participants.  You'll have accountability for your individual success within a team environment.  Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Soliciting and procuring new business (Voluntary products sales and enrollments) through cold-calling, personal meetings and mailing campaigns
  • Working with high profile clients within your own territory
  • Visiting current accounts regularly (with the direction and/or supervision by the Regional Officer) and actively consulting with clients on all benefit plan matters

WHO YOU'LL PARTNER WITH

Our New York City Regional Office is one of 33 Regional Offices located across the continental United States, and 2 Satellite Offices in Alaska and Hawaii (in addition to our New York City Headquarters and our Boca Raton, Florida location).  You'll report to the Senior Vice President and join a dedicated and close-knit team of professionals who are all full of energy and enthusiasm and are highly driven to succeed.  You'll also partner with the service Region and other Headquarters divisions to coordinate client service issues.

Mutual of America not only helps individuals meet their long-term financial objectives, we also work hard to have a direct, positive impact on the future of our society.   We are looking for a high-energy individual who has business-to-business experience, in or out of the retirement plan market, and the passion to help us achieve our mission.  We need someone with excellent motivation and communication skills who is able to represent our Company in sales and service situations.  In addition to these attributes, you should meet the following minimum requirements:  

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Active FINRA Series 6 and Series 63 (if no license, must obtain within the first 90 days from date of employment)
  • Active State Life & Health Insurance Licensing/Appointment (if no license, must obtain Resident license/appointment within the first 4 months from date of employment – and Non-Resident license/appointment within the first 6 months from date of employment)
  • Valid Driver License
