Retirement Plan Consultant

Northwest Plan Services, Inc., a leading retirement plan recordkeeping, administration, and consulting firm, is seeking a Retirement Plan Consultant for our office in Seattle, Washington.  The Consultant will manage a select group of Defined Contribution Retirement Plans and will be responsible for all aspects of plan design, overseeing day-to- day administration, annual compliance testing, Form 5500 preparation, trust accounting, participant notices, and plan documents. In addition, the individual in this position will have exposure to and develop relationships with a wide variety of high-level professionals.

The ideal Retirement Plan Consultant candidate will have experience fostering client relationships, performing compliance testing, discussing plan design, preparing annual reports, and completing DOL and IRS forms. He or she will have demonstrated the ability to prioritize, work independently, and drive tasks to completion.

Excellent customer service skills and the ability to handle multiple ongoing projects are essential. QKA or QPA designation, knowledge of the Relius recordkeeping system, and experience with rate group testing are pluses.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in mathematics or accounting
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and organizational skills
  • The ability to manage multiple ongoing projects
  • Hands on experience with annual compliance testing, including coverage testing and ADP/ACP testing
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
