Position Summary

Senior Management position responsible for the management of the Retirement Plan Services (RPS) Division of the Business Banking Group including administration and new business development.

Essential Requirements

  • Responsible for the leadership and performance management of all employees in the Retirement Plan Services function. Able to develop and structure a highly effective and skilled Retirement Plan Services team.
  • Prepares written annual business plan and budgets and presents to executive management. Prepares and presents various monthly and quarterly reports to executive management.
  • Leads monthly division policy meeting. Establishes and oversees policies and procedures that optimize the balance between compliance and marketability.
  • Establishes annual sales plans and leads weekly sales meetings. Assists personnel with strategy tactics, motivation and pipeline management for attaining annual goals.  Responsible for pricing RPS services.
  • Provides coaching on sales technique and product structure utlization for meeting clients needs.
  • Provides coaching to Plan Consultants on how to be an effective Consultant to clients and how to inqure about the clients needs and objectives.
  • Develops and advances RPS product to maintain competative product within the RPS marketing footprint.
  • Develops marketing plan to provide appropriate branding message within footprint.
  • Establishes effective relationships with key clients. Provides leadership by personally making regular sales presentations and assisting on others as needed.
  • Establishes and monitors policies and procedures. Oversees regulatory compliance activity. Reviews and responds to internal and external audits and various regulatory agencies.
  • Responsible for risk management and disaster recovery for the RPS group.
  • Prepares and participates in Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) Board quarterly meetings and quarterly Board of Directors Trust Committee meetings.
  • Oversees management of Recordkeeping team within RPS
  • Responsible for selection of vendors and negotiation of contracts.
  • Responsible for the completion of all compliance training related to RPS.
  • Must understand all applicable banking laws and regulations that apply to the position and comply with the requirements.

Experience / Skills

  • Eight (8) years or more experience preferred or equivalent experience in a related field preferred.
  • Working knowledge of investment principles.
  • Working knowledge of ERISA.
  • Strong management skills/experience.
  • Strong communication skills/experience.
  • Strong sales skills/experience.
  • Strong leadership skills/experience.
  • Conceptual understanding of Microsoft, SEI, Relius systems.
  • Ability to quickly switch from one topic to another.

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.  MBA preferred.
