This is an exciting opportunity to work for one of the top law firms in the United States and the region.  Stoel Rives is looking for a Retirement Analyst/Accountant to join its Retirement Department in the Portland office.  This position is responsible for tracking all participant contributions, distributions, transfers, and other transactions for the Firm’s various retirement programs.  In addition, this position is responsible for generating monthly and quarterly management reports, reconciling plan accounting records, and assisting with Department of Labor and IRS annual filings.  The successful candidate will preferably have a Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or related field, and at least 3-5 years’ experience working in retirement plan administration, payroll, benefits, accounting, investment management, or related field.  At Stoel Rives, you will find challenging work assignments, opportunities for professional growth and community involvement, and a culture of innovation. 

   

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred, in business, finance, accounting, or related field.  Requires 3-5 years’ experience working in retirement plan administration, payroll, benefits, accounting, investment management, or related field.  Knowledge of investment markets, asset classes, and performance benchmarks.  Experience reviewing investment manager documents and contracts.  Experience with automated accounting systems and financial statement preparation, experience in preparing tax reports, proficient with PC. Ability to work with mathematical, accounting, investments, and financial concepts with an emphasis on detail and accuracy.  Experience working with large spreadsheets and Access database.   Must be able to operate telephone, photocopy, and scanning equipment.
