Liden, Nestle, Soled & Associates, Inc. (LNS) was established in 1989 as a premier retirement plan consulting and third-party administrative firm in Westlake Village, California.  We strongly believe in teamwork, open communication and work/home balance.  We are currently looking for a Retirement Plan Administrator with solid work ethics and positive attitude to join the LNS family.

Job Summary:       Plan Administrator is responsible for maintaining a block of 401K, Profit Sharing, and possibly defined benefit plan business, and ensuring all required work is completed timely.  This position requires excellent analytical abilities, attention to detail, accuracy, and problem solving as well as effective management of client relationships. 

Essential Functions:

  • Compile and scrub census data
  • Balance trust accounts and reconcile deposits
  • Download annual reporting from secure sites
  • Perform ADP/ACP tests and determine corrective measures
  • Review plan documents and amendments for compliance
  • Perform all compliance testing, report and determination if corrections needed
  • Vesting uploads
  • Prepare tax forms (5500 and related schedules)
  • Calculate and oversee 70 1/2 (RMD’s) distributions
  • Handle daily communication with plan sponsors (phone calls and emails) and their advisors
  • Approve distribution and loan transactions
  • Handle forfeiture accounts timely
  • Monitor plan terminations and conversions
  • Maintain an accurate log of work flow and completion of services

  • Maintain confidentiality
  • Effectively manage multiple projects with conflicting deadlines
  • Accuracy, organization, and attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate technical information clearly and effectively
  • Self-motivated

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of requirements to administer a pension plan, including determining what forms, documents, testing and filings are needed
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • 4 to 6 years of experience in retirement plan administration and college level financial courses
  • Strong command of Excel, Word, & Outlook email
  • Excellent math, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Commitment to provide a high level of service to clients
  • APA, CPC, QKA, QPA designations are beneficial
  • Knowledge of ASC and/or Pension Pal desired
