This position will serve as the internal sales consultant within
Dedicated Defined Benefit Services, an Ascensus owned company for driving sales with Financial Professionals and strategic alliance platforms to meet assigned sales goals. Responsibilities include driving sales with key Financial Professionals.
Job Functions, Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Candidate must work in the Glendale, CA Office.
Responsible for protecting, securing, and proper handling of all confidential data held by Ascensus to ensure
against unauthorized access, improper transmission, and/or unapproved disclosure of information that could result in harm to Ascensus or our clients.

Strong, in-depth ERISA and plan design knowledge. DB and Cash Balance Plan knowledge is a plus.
Drive sales with Financial
Professional and meet assigned sales goals.
Cultivate and grow relationships with new and current Financial Professionals.
Designated resource for all business development opportunities for Ascensus TPA Solutions.
Support Sales and
Financial Professionals regarding plan design and illustrations.
Develop and execute outbound calling campaigns.
High level of interaction with the DDBS Sales Team and Financial Professionals handling both routine matters and unexpected
requests. Must be a team player.
CRM Management - Work with all parties to create a streamlined sales data process. Salesforce experience preferred
Provide ongoing support for DDBS sales team regarding overall sales process including
information gathering, proposal generation & special projects.
Provide assistance with scheduled e-mail blasts and call campaigns.
Understand the competitive industry environment, identify and analyze market trends while providing
recommendations and feedback to management team.
Consistently provide a high level of Customer Service to external clients.
Participate in Department training and additional training offered through the Ascensus Leaning
Coordinate marketing campaigns, webinars and conference calls to train Financial Professionals on platform features and benefits.
Maintain frequent contact with key Financial Professionals through, seminars, webinars, conference
calls and other presentation media.
Assist with other tasks and projects as assigned
Experience, Skills, Knowledge Requirements
College degree in business or related fields, or equivalent work
3+ years of experience in the financial services and retirement plan industry preferred. Defined Benefit Plans and Cash Balance Plans experience is a plus.
Exceptional organization and time management skills with the
ability to prioritize, and multi-task under tight deadlines.
Clear understanding of the industry, sales process, competitive products and distribution channels.
Ability to network, build and maintain strong business relationships with
Excellent phone presence and written, oral and presentation skills.
Ability to work independently as required, but also work within and contribute to maintaining a highly-cohesive team
