The Ryding Company is a highly respected third party administration firm located in Westlake Village, CA. Our firm has provided Third Party Administration for qualified retirement plans including 401(k), 403(b), Cash Balance, Profit Sharing and Defined Benefit Pension Plans for over 40 years. We are currently looking for the right person to join our team as a 401(k) Plan Consultant.

Required skills:

  • At least five years of experience in the qualified retirement plan industry demonstrating incremental growth in knowledge and responsibility
  • Strong client relationship skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team or independently
  • Proficiency in 401(k) plan administration and plan document interpretation
  • Performing contribution calculations, cross-testing including year-end valuation
  • Loan, hardship, and distribution review/processing
  • Prepare Forms 5500 and other government filings
  • Excellent communication skills.  Must possess the ability to convey complex ideas in a clear and concise manner both orally and in writing
  • Excellent computer skills in Excel, Work, ASC system including experience with Ft. Williams administration software
  • Positive and professional attitude

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Maintain client relationships through consulting all aspects of plan design and administration
  • Identifying and defining the client’s problems and finding ways to provide appropriate solutions
  • Ensure the timely completion of all annual administration (i.e., testing, loan/distribution processing, reporting, etc.) for assigned caseload
  • Communicate regularly with plan sponsors and their financial and/or legal advisors
