Seeking a Retirement Operations Specialist
Full time, nonexempt
Can be located in either our Escondido, CA or Phoenix, AZ location

More details:

We are looking for a candidate with strong organizational and operational skills. They will have the ability to handle repetitive, multi-step tasks in a consistent manner. They will also be able to handle interruptions and not lose sight of task at hand. Must be able to utilize Excel on an intermediate level. Additionally, the ability to manage multiple email boxes. Willing to communicate and ask questions.

General  Duties

  • Manages and coordinates operational activities for assigned clients.  Activities include transaction processing, distribution processing, loan processing, etc. 
  • Provides escalation support to the Participant Services representatives to assist with participant communications and satisfaction
  • Proactively manage the operational activity for assigned clients and properly set and manage the expectations with the Retirement Operations Manager 
  • Participate in project teams to improve processes and controls; enhance product features and functionality; and implement new tools and technologies.  Some projects may be individually assigned recurring activities 
  • Ensure that all of the complexities inherent in transaction processing, calculations, and accounting systems are managed in a professional and controlled manner
  • Manage the operational activities for each assigned case by effectively and quickly addressing issues as they arise, making sure to keep the Retirement Operations Manager and Client Service Manager informed of substantive issues
  • Provide back-up support to coworkers during peak periods, ensuring work is completed and workloads are leveled across the operations staff

   Physical Demands           

  • Ability to sit and work at a computer terminal for extended periods of time
  • While performing the duties of this job, associate is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle, feel or operate objects, tools or controls, and to reach with hands and arms. Associate is frequently required to stand, talk and hear
  • Ability to lift 20 pounds
  • Additional hours may be required during peak periods
  • Required to be physically in the office unless other arrangements are approved by the Retirement Operations Manager.
