Retirement Plan Services Specialist II (2124)

First Financial Bank

Essential Functions / Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the maintenance and servicing of larger retirement plan services clients. 
  • Responsible for support of new sales generation activity for larger plans.
  • Management of a book of RPS accounts with concentration on higher value/larger plan relationships.
  • Follow minimum client contact initiative according to segmentation: 

           1) Tier 1 Clients

                                a. One in-person meeting with applicable FFB team members

                                b. One investment & administrative review

                                c. Quarterly phone contact

                                d. One invite for client entertainment / Bank event

          2)  Tier 2 Clients

                                a. One In-person meeting

                                b. One investment & administrative review

                                c. Three annual phone contacts

           3)  Tier 3 Clients

                                a. One in person meeting

                                 b. Semi-annual phone contact

           4)  Tier 4 clients

                                a. One annual phone contact

  • For RPS accounts serve as conduit to recordkeeping outsource partner.
  • Review and approve managed lump sum and pension payments.
  • Conduct employee education
  • Assist with annual plan reviews
  • Assist Plan Sponsor with Plan Design
  • Point the creation of annual plan review and employee education material as well as prospect presentations.
  • Serve as ERISA/plan expert in assisting other sales people in RPS sales.
  • Ensure delivery of highest level of client services to RPS plan clients and their participants.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills,  and Abilities Needed to Perform Essential Functions of the Job:

  • Seven to ten years of experience regarding qualified plans.
  • Expert in ERISA and DOL regulations
  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university.
  • Additional Cannon or other related ERISA/qualified plan training required.
  • CEBS, CRSP or other similar professional designation required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Occasionally lifts and carries up to 10 lbs.
  • Frequently sits, stands, walks and drives.

Compliance Statement: The associate is responsible for meeting all compliance requirements imposed on First Financial Bank by State and Federal law and regulation, as well as all related First Financial Bank policies and procedures.  This includes all Bank Secrecy Act, Anti-Money Laundering, OFAC and Suspicious Activity reporting requirements, as well as all other lending and deposit compliance requirements.

Development and Training (Optional):

  • Staying abreast of qualified plan news and regulatory changes through trade newspapers and continuing education seminar opportunities.
