IIS Relationship Manager


in Richmond VA

Acts as a consultant and strategic advisor to mid-size and larger relationships that provides insight and knowledge on the clients’ current portfolio and proactively presents clients with new product ideas, suggestions for alternate business strategies, and solutions to business problems. Provides exemplary service to new and existing clients leading to superior sales and retention. Meet with clients and/or prospects to provide comprehensive plan consulting and review the investment philosophy, process, and performance of specific investment products; provide updates on overall financial market performance, economic trends and the firm’s economic outlook.  Manages risk through appropriate adherence to policies, procedures, and effective fiduciary oversight. Demonstrates exceptional consultative skills that will include knowledge that is both business specific and investment oriented.  Requires a strong command of ERISA, business finance, institutional investments including asset allocation and risk/return analysis, securities administration, and fiduciary regulations.  Will have both client retention and new business sales goals.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Typically has more than 15 years of client management experience in a finance or investment driven environment.   
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economic, accounting or other business related field is required.  
  • In addition, may have one or more professional designations such as MBA, CFA, CRPS, CEBS, CFP, and CIMA.
