Position summary:

This position is the primary contact point for plan sponsors and is largely responsible for customer satisfaction and customer retention by providing professional, clear, accurate and timely plan administration.

General purpose:

Deliver Third Party Administrative services to retirement plan sponsors in compliance with all IRS and DOL regulations.

Role qualifications:

  • QKA Professional designation required or obtainable.
  • 5+ years plan administration experience.
  • Working knowledge of IRS and DOL regulations.
  • Proficient MS Office skills and computer skills.
  • Proficient knowledge of Relius plan administration software.
  • Knowledge of all types of retirement plans.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary.
  • Must attend conferences, seminars and webinars to further education.

Position responsibilities:

  • Provide Prompt, Personal Customer Service to our Clients, Advisors and CPAs.
  • Maintain the retirement plan within compliance of all IRS and DOL regulations.
  • Extensive knowledge of IRS Plan Compliance rules.
  • Extensive knowledge of DOL Plan Compliance rules.
  • Experience in performing testing (includes, but not limited to Non-Discrimination, Class Allocation / Cross Testing, Coverage Testing, Last Day Testing, Compensation Exclusion, Top Heavy).
  • Experience in reviewing plan contribution activity and plan assets and annual reconciliation of plan loans and assets.
  • Experience in preparing annual valuation reports, allocation of assets / contributions on pooled profit sharing plans, preparation and delivery of Form 5500 and related Schedules, preparation and delivery of Form 8955-SSA.
  • Experience in assisting Clients with IRS/DOL audits, Form 5330 preparation, and calculation of earnings on late deposits.
  • Experience calculating excess contributions (415 Limit and ADP/ACP), plan administration tracking,
  • Generates invoice requests for annual, year-end true-up and special services. Follow up on past due invoices.
  • Preparation of Anniversary Service Package and Census.
  • Involvement with Required Plan Amendments, Document Restatements and Discretionary Plan Amendments.
  • Involvement with preparation of required Notices (includes QDIA, Safe Harbor, Automatic Enrollment, Fee Disclosure).
  • Provides assistance to Facilitator on problem loans and distributions.
  • Special Projects – as a Team responsible for researching, developing client communication and setting procedures for Facilitator involvement.
  • Act as a role model for other Team Members.
