Alliance Benefit Group of Houston, Inc. (ABG) is one of the fastest growing pension administration and recordkeeping firms in Texas. We provide services to all types of qualified retirement plans, with particular emphasis on 401(k) plans. We are seeking a professional, energetic and experienced retirement plan Implementation Consultant, with a minimum of 5 years of retirement plan industry experience preferably working in the area of plan implementation/conversions.

The Implementation Consultant will manage the implementation/conversion “in” of a new client’s plan at ABG. Individuals serving in this position must be optimistic, customer-oriented, and adaptable with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with time-sensitive deadlines. This position is required to contribute to team objectives as well as work independently. Interested candidates must have strong organizational, project management, and time management skills, and the ability to handle multiple competing priorities.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinate and manage the implementation process for new clients;
  • Convey timeline and expectations to plan sponsors, advisors, and prior service providers;
  • Consult with plan sponsors on plan design, regulatory responsibilities, and service offerings;
  • Review plan set-up in various systems is in compliance with the plan document;
  • Ensure receipt of signed documentation and historical plan data and transition of plan assets is completed accurately and timely;
  • Analyze annual client data and reconcile asset activity for plan valuation.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or other related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years working with qualified retirement plans.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, analytical and problem solving skills, and excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong customer focus, including ability to think in terms of the customer’s perspective and expectations.
  • Proficient knowledge of plan documents and ERISA, DOL, and IRS regulations.
  • QKA or similar industry designation is preferred.
