Description:

  • Handle basic underwriting and financial issues and strategies for allfunding arrangements.
  • Demonstrate ability to comprehend and execute oral and writteninstructions and effectively troubleshoot (solve problems) when critical issues arise.
  • Develop strong relationship with insurance carriers' service teams

    • Account  Manager -Supervisor
    • Lead Sales Representative
  •  Handle renewal and marketing for select pooled and partiallyexperience rated accounts with minimal supervision.
  • Assist Senior Consultant with training and mentoring of Sr. Account Manager and Account Manager.  
  • Must be able to effectively interview prospective associates for new hire opportunities. 
  • Effectively present, communicate, influence and negotiate to all audience levels in all venues, i.e. client meetings, vendor meetings, and internal meetings
  • Peer review and provide constructive feedback for workcompleted by a Senior Account Manager or Account Manager.
  • Identify and provide sound judgment and resolution of critical issuesin Sr. Consultant/Manager's absence and determine when UnitManager, Department Head and/or Producer involvement isnecessary in problem resolution and carrier negotiations.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationship with Producersand clients at all levels, to includethe decision-makers.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with insurance carriers at the mid-management level.
  • Effectively handle workload and time management, including delegation of appropriate tasks.
  • Collaborative brainstorming with the Senior Consultant to improve client benefit programs and internal processes.
  • Collaborative brainstorming with Health Risk Manager to assist client indeveloping a wellness strategy.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in a business-related field, or equivalent experience in the insurance industry
  • At least three to five years experience in the insurance industry, specifically in employee welfare benefits, or two years with Lockton Benefit Company in a a Senior Account Manager or Project Manager with an emphasis in employee benefits for Lockton
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to develop sound relationships with multiple clients
  • Excellent computer skills including word processing and advanced Excel skills for complicated spreadsheets created on a regular basis
  • Excellent organization and communication skills
  • Required insurance licenses or ability to immediately obtain
  • A solid working knowledge of welfare benefits with an advanced understanding of risk and insurance concepts
  • Ability to travel by automobile and aircraft and stay for more than one day and night
  • Legal right to work in the United States
