Gateway Pension Services, Ltd. is a small, yet well-established retirement plan administration and consulting firm.  We are looking for a knowledgeable, energetic Retirement Plan Administrator to join our highly trained and experienced team.  The administrator will be responsible for all aspects of plan administration.

Your responsibilities would include:

  • Reviewing plan documents to ensure proper administration of plan
  • Calculation and allocation of annual employer contributions, including partnership calculations
  • Asset reconciliation
  • Preparation of Balance Sheet and Income and Expense
  • Compliance testing, including 401(a)(4)
  • Preparation of Form 5500 and related schedules, Form 5330

Requirements include:

  • Extensive knowledge of defined contribution plans and related IRS and DOL legislation, with knowledge of defined benefit plans a plus.
  • 5+ years’ experience in a similar role working in the retirement industry.
  • Ability to handle a case load of 50 to 75 plans.  The plans are mostly small, with some large plans included.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, including the ability to consult with clients and other industry professionals on plan issues.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
  • ASPPA QKA designation required, QPA/APA designation or greater recommended.

Preferences include:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience with Datair Windows, Pension Reporter and Plan Document systems
  • Experience with PensionPro
