Here is your opportunity to be a part of one of John Hancock’s fastest growing businesses; John Hancock Personal Financial Services.  We are looking for a highly motivated individual to work in tandem with internal and external business partners as well as 401K participants.  This position is ideal for someone who is looking to expand their skillset and grow their career in the financial Industry. Compensation includes a generous salary and performance based incentive.

Key Focus/Scope

  • Educating 401(k) participants on distribution options when leaving service due to job change or retirement
  • Providing Best Interest Recommendations to terminated participants under the JH RIA model
  • When applicable, assist participants in the account opening process, via a self directed IRA

Major Responsibilities

  • Member of in-bound/out-bound phone-based team focused on educating 401k participants on their distribution options
  • Promote John Hancock Rollover Product, the rollover process, the features and benefits to existing John Hancock 401(k) participants, Third Party Administrators and Financial Advisors.
  • Educate the JH 401(k) Participants on available rollover product(s) and available funds (including Lifestyle & Lifecycle) at Net Asset Value (NAV), as well as the new JH Managed IRA
  • When applicable, help participant by opening an IRA in real-time and facilitate the distribution process
  • Deliver outstanding customer service in a professional manner to assist client’s decision-making process
  • Additional duties as assigned


  •  Bachelor Degree preferred
  • 1-3 years financial services industry experience
  • Knowledge of 401(k) rules and regulations

Knowledge & Skills

  • Series 6 & 63, must obtain Series 65 within 3 months of hire
  • Series 7 a plus
  • Strong industry knowledge
  • Outstanding communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as a team with a customer focus
