The Retirement Solutions division of
Schneider Downs specializes in providing holistic retirement planning services, including plan governance consulting, retirement plan design and implementation, recordkeeping, administration, fiduciary investment advisory services, and participant
education. We also offer ESOP consulting, recordkeeping and administration, as well as executive compensation program design and implementation.
The Retirement Solutions team is currently seeking an ERISA and Executive Compensation
The candidate should have experience with a broad range of executive compensation and benefits matters, including design and taxation issues related to executive compensation arrangements (Section 409A of the Internal
Revenue Code), ERISA fiduciary and investment issues, Department of Labor rules and regulations, and compliance / design / correction issues for qualified plans (including ESOPs), non-qualified plans, and health and welfare plans.
experience with defined benefit plans is beneficial.
Primary responsibilities will include (1) research and consulting with clients on complex issues arising from plan design, compliance, operation, and correction of various of retirement, benefit
and executive compensation plans, (2) advising clients regarding fiduciary responsibilities and obligations under ERISA, and (3) ESOP consulting and compliance.
The candidate must have excellent communication, time management and organizational
skills. The candidate should also be detailed oriented and able to handle complex, multifaceted projects with minimal supervision.
