Contract Project Description:, a division of Wolters Kluwer, has an immediate opening for a Compliance QA Software Tester. This position is a specialized position that will be responsible for assisting with quality control and accuracy of new features/products are in working order when released. Basic Function:

This Position is responsible for assisting with design and the testing of product features and enhancements, specifically focusing on areas of the software where extensive knowledge of ERISA law is required. Works as part of an agile team making sure features and enhancements are well designed, and test these features thoroughly to make sure items delivered to production are in working order.

Essential Duties:

  • Collect design requirements and, working with product owners, create a design doc complete with acceptance testing, that developers will use to develop new features and enhancements
  • Fully test new features and document all tests that have been run
  • Ensure that the software is compliant with ERISA laws and regulations
  • Manually calculate compliance tests (ADP/ACP test, 410(b) Coverage Test, Rate Group Test, Average Benefit Test) to ensure system calculations are correct
  • Stay up to date with current ERISA laws and regulations
  • Maintain documentation for future testing of the same and/or similar software features and enhancements.   
  • Suggest software improvements through the course of testing
  • Stay up to date with current testing practices and methodologies
  • Work with other QA staff to create testing policies and procedures so that documentation delivered to other team members is consistent
  • Perform audits to ensure policies and procedures are efficient and make recommendations for improvement
  • Gather customer feedback and make recommendations for future product enhancements


  • Enrolled Retirement Plan Agent (ERPA). IRS Credential
  • Qualified Pension Administrator (QPA), ASPPA Credential
  • Certified Pension Consultant (CPC), ASPPA Credential
  • At least 5 years of experience in the retirement plan industry
  • At least 5 years of experience working in a development QA environment
  • Experience with customer support
  • Familiarity with various project management and workflow tools

Other Knowledge and skills:

  • Experience with Compliance software a plus
  • Detail oriented
  • Quick learner and self-starter
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to work well in a team
  • Ability to perform well under pressure
  • Ability to perform well with minimal supervision


  • Travel required to office(s) if located remotely
  • Not expected to exceed 3-5 trips per year
