United Retirement Plan Consultants (URPC) is one of the largest national providers of retirement plan design, consulting and administration for small to mid-size employers and are currently seeking Experienced Defined Benefit Plan Administrators at our Providence, RI; Torrance, CA; Orange County, CA; Seattle, WA and Dublin, OH locations.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):

As part of our Defined Benefits team your skills and experience should include the following:

  • Working knowledge of pension regulations
  • Communication and consulting with clients, accountants and financial advisors
  • Consulting on plan design/illustration preparation and review
  • Asset reconciliation
  • Benefit calculations
  • Contribution/funding calculations
  • Document review and interpretation/Amendment preparation
  • Preparation of annual valuation reports and government forms
  • Coverage and nondiscrimination testing

As you might expect, candidates should possess strong problem solving, organizational skills, innovative thinking, time management and customer service skills and place an emphasis on quality work.

Related Experience

  • A minimum of 3 years prior Defined Benefit administration experience preferred.
  • ASC experience preferred.


  • College degree required preferably in Accounting, Economics, Math, Business or other similar discipline.


  • Willingness to obtain Enrolled Actuary, ASPPA, NIPA or ERPA credentials required.
