This position will manage the administration and data integrity of a broad range of group and voluntary benefits programs and plans, including but not limited to ongoing and annual processes, regulatory compliance, communications, process improvement,
vendor management support and data and program quality assurance.
Manage the administration of health & welfare, wellness, and group benefits plans, programs and policies to ensure accurate and effective administration. Partners with other
Benefits leaders to manage benefit vender relationships. Responsible for leadership and day-to-day supervision of Benefits coordinator, administrators and analyst. Responsible for assuring efficient and streamlined processes without compromising accuracy,
of all internally executed benefits processes. Coaches and mentors team to serve as first point of contact for escalated benefits-related associate issues; conducts research to determine source of issue and facilitates resolution process with internal and
external partners. As assigned, participate in the development of effective employee/retiree communication materials, including summary plan descriptions, intra- and internet content to educate participants on benefits plans, policies and programs.
Responsible for implementation and rollout of Benefits open enrollment project and support of other group benefit initiatives. Primary HRIS liaison for benefits including health and welfare, pension and 401(k). Develops data integrity and ongoing audit
practice for benefits function providing leadership to team to execute. Directs and leads team to serve as data analytics and reporting subject matter experts for all benefits-related data and historical documents for use in M&A, audits, administration
and special projects. Responsible for working with other key internal Human Resources functions such as Payroll and HRIS to ensure accurate associate data and processing. Miscellaneous activities and responsibilities as assigned by
Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business or equivalent; 5 – 8 years Benefits experience; minimum of 3 years supervisory/management
Preferred Qualifications: In addition to meeting the above qualifications, any of the following are preferred- 8 or more years of supervisory experience in group health & welfare benefits or
benefits consulting; Certifications/Licenses: Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS), PHR (Profession in Human Resources), SPHR (Senior Profession in Human Resources)
Skills: Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills; experience with project management and HR systems; excellent written and communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization;
excellent knowledge of a wide range of benefits principles; solid knowledge of HIPAA, COBRA, ERISA, IRC Section 125 and Health Care Reform
