We are a Long Island, NY TPA firm in existence since the late 1970s. We provide services to the qualified small pension plan market by designing plans, preparing plan documentation, and providing full third party administrative services. We are seeking an experienced individual with defined benefit, cash balance, and DB/DC dual plan administrative experience who has been a pension administrator for at least 5 years. Responsibilities will entail:

  • Full plan administration work for DB and Cash Balance plans, including annual valuation reports, calculation of contributions, all required annual testing, distribution packages, Form 5500, 1099R, and PBGC filing preparation
  • Communicating, both on a written and verbal basis, with plan sponsors and their advisors
  • Handling the entire plan termination process
  • Keeping on top of all deadlines
  • Assisting our document specialist in the PPA restatement process
  • Presenting work done to our Actuary for review and approval

Ideally, the job candidate should:

  • Have a bachelor’s degree in math or related fields
  • Have experience with Datair administrative software
  • Be proficient in Excel and Word
  • Be able to work both independently and as a team member
  • Have a designation (e.g., QPA, APA, ERPA)
  • Be organized and detail-oriented
  • Possess excellent communication skills
