Retirement Plan Specialist

FranFund is looking for two Plan Administration Associates to join the team.  This role is an entry-level position within the Third Party Administration Department.  Each Associate works directly with a senior administrator to learn aspects of retirement plan administration, compliance, and accounting.  If you enjoy a challenge and are looking for a position that offers growth and challenge apply today.


  • Maintain a designated number of 401(k) Plan
  • Initiate and respond to basic client communication and inquiries.
  • Document all plan transactions during the year (loans, distributions, rollovers, contributions).
  • Perform annual review process for all assigned plans
  • Prepare plan financials and 5500 with all schedules;
  • Determine eligible employees based on census;
  • Prepare and send work product;
  • Invite clients to electronically sign 5500 and follow-up as needed.
  • Gather, record, and track receipt of all year-end documents needed.
  • Other projects and duties as needed.


  • Advanced Typing and Data Entry skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with intermediate to advanced skills in Excel
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills
  • Work well in a high volume production environment
  • Demonstrate critical thinking abilities
  • Excellent customer service skills with a high attention to detail
  • Prioritize workload based on department requirements and customer needs
  • Ability to multi-task in other areas of the unit
  • Positive attitude and team-oriented

Required Experience

  • 2 years office experience is required.
