Key responsibilities include supporting sales through the design and proposal process; actively participate in sales presentations and existing client reviews that include corporate-owned life insurance (COLI) and bank-owned life insurance (BOLI) products; actively participate working on executive benefits plans and proposal design, detailed reports, Excel spreadsheets, running and updating financial software programs, production and supplemental administrative tasks as assigned.  Position reports to both the President / CEO and the Vice President of Client Financial Services. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

  • Prepare and design financial spreadsheets (input, analysis and creation).  Perform financial projections and other financial analyses.
  • Generate proposals and product reviews for meetings with prospects and existing clients and actively participate in assigned sales presentations.
  • Actively participate in client annual reviews, including analysis and presentation of current and projected plan funding performance and requirements.
  • Analyze corporate financial statements including proxy, 10-K, and 10-Q.  Conduct internet research and analysis on companies, industries, etc.


In addition to solid organizational skills and a strong attention to detail, the successful candidate for this position must have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally, with senior executives of Fortune 1000 companies and other professionals.  Candidate must be able to quickly grasp a wide variety of insurance, legal, tax, accounting and financial concepts.  He or she should be familiar with financial spreadsheets, apply financial operations and deal with abstract and concrete variables.  Candidate should posses the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.  Candidate should have flexibility for 20%-30% local and overnight travel. Successful candidate must have the ability to handle cyclical work pressures with professional demeanor and be a team player willing to participate and interact with staff of all levels within other departments.


This position requires an undergraduate degree in finance or business-related field. Three to four years of prior financial analysis work experience involving life insurance products, qualified and/or nonqualified retirement plans is highly desirable.  Advanced studies or additional qualifications / licenses will be a plus.
