United Retirement Plan Consultants is one of the largest national TPAs, administering qualified and non-qualified retirement plans in the micro to
mid-size employer market.
United Retirement continues to expand its sales distribution efforts and is seeking an experienced Regional Sales Consultant for the Northern Virginia, Maryland and DC areas.
This position is responsible for developing
retirement plan sales of TPA services through business development efforts with financial intermediaries (Financial Advisors, CPAs, etc.) and retirement plan industry partners such as product and recordkeeping service providers. United
Retirement’s sales consultants are supported by internal plan design, illustrations, proposal, documents, and new business installation teams.
Working knowledge of, and at least 3-5 years’ selling
experience with, qualified defined contribution and/or defined benefit retirement plans;
Prior wholesaling experience with TPAs is a significant plus, particularly those with in-territory advisor/record keeper relationships;
sales and relationship management experience required;
Proven ability to exceed activity metrics and production targets in sales territory;
Proven working experience with financial intermediaries and other retirement professionals, with
Self-motivated with high energy and willingness to build and/or expand a sales territory for United Retirement;
Working knowledge of SalesForce;
Excellent communication and presentation skills are a must;
cooperative team spirit is required;
Organization, time management and attention to detail required;
Minimum bachelor’s degree preferred, business-focused degrees a plus.
