Defined Contribution Plan Administrator

MGA Consultants is one of the largest national providers of retirement plan design, consulting and administration for small to mid-size employers and are currently seeking responsible, "Can Do" Defined Contribution Plan Administrators for our office in Ellicott City, Maryland.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Census review and calculation of eligibility
  • Perform projected and year end non-discrimination testing
  • Identify and resolve plan discrepancies
  • Ensure compliance with DOL and IRS requirements
  • Calculation and allocation of annual employer contributions (including New Comparability Plans)
  • Vesting determination
  • Preparation of annual valuation and Form 5500 filing 
  • Active contribution to the development of processes and procedures as they develop.  We value creativity and innovation.

As you might expect, candidates should possess strong problem solving, organizational skills, innovative thinking, time management and customer service skills and place an emphasis on quality work.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years defined contribution administration experience for Plan Administrators; Minimum 5 years defined contribution experience for Senior Plan Administrators.
  • Bonus points if you have experience administering ESOP plans.
  • Proficiency with ASC and FT Williams preferred but not required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications is expected.
  • Member of ASPPA (QKA, QPA, CPC) or willingness to obtain.
  • Willingness to think “outside the box” and be flexible.
