Part-Time Benefit Educator – English speaking and/or bilingual

Position Summary

Total Benefit Communications, LLC, an Ascensus company, specializes in providing educational services to employees regarding their benefits.  We strive to deliver high-quality enrollment services to ensure that each event is conducted according to client expectations.

Do you have experience in benefits?  English speaking and bilingual educators are needed all over the United States to conduct employee meetings and benefit fairs. The Benefit educator position is a part-time position with short-term temporary assignments which provide supplemental income only.  The assignments are on an as needed basis, and demand varies throughout the year.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Remain knowledgeable of the benefits industry and recent updates/legislation/changes
  • Establish and maintain good professional relationships with employer and client contacts
  • Arrive at scheduled work site in accordance to departmental policy
  • Educate potential members on all aspects of the plan(s) including answering questions regarding the plan’s features and benefits
  • Assist current members with issue resolution and re-enrollment (as applicable)
  • Complete paperwork and expense report post-event in a timely manner

Qualifications / Requirements

5+ years of experience explaining employee benefits at the participant level with a background in benefits, finance/investments or insurance. You must also have a flexible schedule and the freedom to accept assignments with little notice.  Medicare experience a plus.  


  • High School Diploma (advanced degree preferred)
  • Driver’s license and personal transportation
  • Personal computer or laptop with internet access, and a personal smartphone
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Intermediate computer skills
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Able to work in an indoor or outdoor environment
  • Able to occasionally carry boxes up to 40lbs.
  • Able to travel up to 200 miles is a plus
  • Health / Accident / Sickness state insurance license is a plus
