July Business Services (JULY) is a national retirement plan services firm seeking a sales professional to join our Internal Retirement Plan Sales Team.  JULY is an entrepreneurial and performance-driven organization with a culture that emphasizes collaboration and teamwork, innovation, leadership development, and delivery of “wow” service to clients. JULY helps investment advisors and their small business clients set up and administer high quality retirement plans for employees.  We are uniquely positioned for growth in the changing retirement plan marketplace as our retirement platform and independent approach to plan investments provides advisory firms a more cost-competitive, investment-neutral solution over traditional 401(k) providers.  In addition to recordkeeping services, JULY offers bundled and unbundled plan administration services, in-house actuarial services, and integrated payroll to simplify processing for clients.  

Objectives and Duties

  • Assist the Regional Sales Director with creating and implementing a sales plan for the territory
  • Work with JULY regional sales directors, advisors, and prospective clients to build proposals and plan illustrations
  • Respond to inbound calls and build relationships with advisors, third party administrators, and key referral partners
  • Respond to a wide variety of inquiries, including plan design, industry trends, and regulatory requirements
  • Lead advisors and prospective clients through the post-sales setup paperwork process
  • Learn and understand JULY’s business model, strengths, product offerings, and fees
  • Manage multiple opportunities simultaneously by leveraging strong organizational skills
  • Collaborate with other JULY team members to improve and automate sales processes
  • Leverage technology to support proposal generation and setup paperwork process

Experience / Credentials

  • Strong communication and sales skills
  • Strong knowledge of financial services and the retirement plan industry
  • Understanding of retirement plan design, retirement products, and investments
  • QPFC, QKA or equivalent designation or willingness to attain within 18 months
  • 3+ years in retirement plan sales
  • Experience in an open-architecture environment a plus
  • Experience working with fee-based RIAs and expert retirement plan advisors
  • Bachelor’s Degree
