Sr. Retirement and Pension Analyst

The Senior Benefits Specialist will use a full range of HR Solutions and Operations knowledge to analyze and process various types of complex retirement and pension information related to the delivery of HR
Operations services. Responsibilities include guiding and reviewing retirement and pension information and support for key business initiatives such as mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, business reorganizations and the formation of joint ventures. This
role is responsible for managing retirement and pension benefits related to current union contracts, partner with key internal partners such as Law, ER and IR for proactive discussions and supporting documents for union negotiations. The Senior Retirement
and Pension Specialist will develop, implement, and execute HR Solutions strategies, policies, and processes, such as research, analysis and benchmark reporting. This position is responsible to manage various relationships internally and externally, and
will ensure compliance and governance are maintained in areas of responsibility.
35% Draw on HR Solutions and Retirement and Pension expertise and full understanding of
legislative and administrative requirements to lead projects for activities related to mergers, acquisitions and divestitures for North America businesses. Act as key a member of the team that determines approach for retirement and pension strategy related
to these projects. Develop tools to ensure smooth execution of activities, utilize tools to deliver results, and communicate to others regarding their role in the process. Provide appropriate consulting and relationship management related to these
activities to ensure strong partnerships.
25% Manage approach and act as the key contact for benefit analysis requests regarding unions. Prepare recommendations to Law, ER and IR for negotiations as well as responses to
business units. Arrange and conduct meetings and manage the process. Independently conduct analysis and proactively manage this work to achieve results in a timely manner. Ensure consistent application of HR Solutions philosophies.
15% Manage survey requests and benchmarking data through analysis of market trends. Manage the process and communication within the team for multiple surveys. Independently conduct analysis related to surveys, determine conclusions,
and formulate recommendations related to survey data. Work closely with others in the team and leaders to take strategic steps related to outcomes.
10% Manage administration of joint venture projects related to
retirement and pensions. Collaborate with leaders regarding options and make recommendations to leads based on research, analysis, and knowledge. Prepare information and work with the design/strategy team to deliver, communicate, and manage changes.
Educate necessary parties regarding changes and information needed to execute various processes.
10% Own end to end processes for retirement and pension analysis and activities related to new location set ups and
reorganizations. Work closely with internal teams to ensure smooth processes and achievement of results and review process to ensure efficiency. Create effective team communication and collaboration. Ensure compliance is maintained. Prepare reports and
materials to communicate outcomes with leaders and involved parties.
5% Manage and or participate in special projects as requested by HR Operations or retirement/pension leadership. Draw on experience and knowledge and
independently move forward with project activities and implementation.
• 5+ years professional level experience in employee retirement and pension benefits • Bachelor's degree •
Experience in data analysis • Experience in compliance and regulations in benefits scope, specifically retirement and pension plans • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (v-lookup,
formulas, macros, etc.) • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills • Proven ability to work independently as well within a team • Demonstrated strong oral and written communication skills • Strong customer
