Retirement Plan Relationship Manager

Alpha Pension Group is a pension consulting firm that partners with companies to promote fiduciary best practices for retirement plans and advocates for plan participants. As investment advisors, we focus on a prudent process that promotes plan level wellness while aiming to reduce the tyranny of excessive investment fees. Our education curriculum guides participants towards positive outcomes.

We are a fast paced, exciting work environment that is growing our team. We are looking for an internal relationship manager to provide high quality service to our clients.  

Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintain client relationships with a high client retention rate
  • Serves as a primary point of contact for client questions and as a liaison between the client, TPA, and recordkeeper.
  • Maintain a caseload of about 100 partner level clients  and assist plan sponsors with the administration of the retirement plan
  • Superior client service and ability to consult with clients regarding plan administration
  • Perform work according to Alpha Pension Group’s policies and procedures
  • Proactively communicate with clients about upcoming plan deadlines and plan requirements
  • Manages the daily operations and relationships with Alpha Pension Group’s clients
  • Assists with plan design, ERISA compliance, and fiduciary best practices
  • Review and answer questions relating to the plan document and policies
  • Prepare plan related forms and notices for the plan administrator
  • Prepare advisors for quarterly and education meetings
  • Implement changes and answer follow up requests from investment committee meetings

Preferred experience and qualifications include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum of 5 years industry or 5 years of related industry (banking, finance, investments, wealth management) experience
  • Proficient interpersonal relations and communication skills; analytical and organizational skills; computer skills, including MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint; presentation skills; ability to read and interpret Plan documents and recordkeepers fee disclosures
  • BS or BA in related field of study preferred, along with specialized training related to employee benefits plan administration
  • Thorough knowledge of all laws, regulations, and policies impacting retirement plans; working knowledge of investment terminology for presentations to Plan Sponsors and Plan Participants
