PDC is looking for a Compliance Specialist

Plan Design Consultants is not your typical retirement Third Party Administrator (TPA) service provider (yawn).  We distinguish ourselves as providing smart, easy and awesome administrative services to employers.  

We are looking for a talented new employee to fill a full time Compliance Specialist position.  Your role would be to provide amazing Compliance Services to support our internal Client Account Managers.

Your Day to Day

  • Work in a team environment to provide full compliance service administration for Profit Sharing, 401(k), 403(b), Defined Benefit and Cash Balance Plans.
  • Perform census review and calculation of eligibility.
  • Calculate contributions and conduct annual compliance and non-discrimination testing for Safe Harbor, New Comparability and Prevailing Wage plans.
  • Prepare and file all necessary tax forms (5500, 8955-SA, 5330, etc.), including audit support and electronic filing where appropriate.
  • Work and gain knowledge of recordkeeping valuation reports.
  • Provide consulting and plan design assistance to Client Account Managers and Clients.
  • Manage annual plan trust accounting review i.e. calculate contributions, earnings, distributions, receivables, etc. as necessary for Valuation Report and Form 5500 preparation.
  • Manage multiple projects and complete tasks by meeting timelines and goals.
  • Complete other assigned duties.

What you would bring to the team

  • 3-5 years of experience in retirement plan administration required.
  • ASPPA, NIPA, designation preferred.
  • Familiarity with ERISA, IRS and DOL regulations governing qualified retirement plans, required.
  • Strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office, ASC compliance testing/retirement plan administration software (preferred), ASC (DGEM) government tax form software (preferred).
  • Highly organized with strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work well independently and collaborate effectively with a team.
  • Willingness and strong desire to take initiative.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and changing environment.
  • Self motivated.
