Customer Service Representative (Call Center)

Retirement Horizons, Inc. is looking for a Customer Service Representative for The Woodlands, TX office.  The role’s primary responsibility is to provide callers with world class customer service with questions regarding their financial retirement plans (pension and 401(k).  This includes reviewing customer’s personal account information as well as communicating specific plan provisions concerning their benefits.  The role requires excellent verbal and written communication skills with customers, clients, financial advisors and other team members.  The role will also include off-phone time to perform other duties such as entering retirement benefit data through online trust sites and other projects.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Answer phone calls in a call center environment.
  • Provide accurate plan specific information to resolve customer questions about their benefits.
  • Provide information to callers about Defined Contribution and Deferred Benefit plan rules.
  • Walk participants through website transaction processes
  • Proactively works on projects and other activities during low call volumes
  • Performs other job related duties or special projects as assigned.

Competencies Required:

  • Passion for Customer service with great communication and problem solving skills
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of call center experience
    • retirement benefit services preferred   
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
    • College degree preferred
  • Fluency in English is required (Spanish bilingual preferred)
  • Demonstrates excellent attendance, punctuality and time management
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and ability to learn different software platforms and applications.
  • Ability to maintain accuracy while multitasking and focus to meet deadlines
  • Conveys a professional and positive attitude while interacting with customers, clients and internal team members.
  • Ability to accept and implement coaching and feedback to reach individual and team performance goals

Full time position in a professional, smoke-free call center environment.  Must pass drug test and state, federal and criminal background check.  Benefits include medical, dental, vision, paid time off and 401(k) plan eligibility.
