Retirement Plan Services Senior Associate

Responsibilities

  • Effectively complete annual administration for defined contribution retirement plans
  • Provide ongoing administration support to include:
  • Corresponding with clients on a regular basis to provide outstanding client support services
  • Acting as a liaison and point of contact between brokers, investment platforms and clients
  • Preparation of plan reconciliations, documents, tax and informational returns
  • Preparation of employer contribution calculations/ allocations and non-discrimination testing
  • Demonstrate skill with retirement plan administration software and working with investment platforms
  • Review of participant distribution paperwork for various investment platforms
  • Assist with and oversee asset conversions and investment platform setup
  • Performs other retirement plan administration related job duties that are assigned by the RPS Partner and Senior Managers
  • Demonstrate the ability and initiative to develop the skills necessary to advance to the level of RPS Manager
  • Ability to work independently to meet deadlines and effectively integrate into a team environment
  • Manage personal workload; with ability to assist other staff members with assignments and special projects as necessary
  • Maintains professional appearance and demeanor reflective of the company and demonstrates effective organizational skills at all times
  • Self-study for ASPPA examinations and commitment to continuing professional education

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
  • Minimum 3+ years’ experience with administration of qualified Retirement plans
  • ASPPA Qualified 401(k) Administrator Designation preferred; demonstration of successful completion of some ASPPA exams required
  • Overall knowledge of Retirement Plan Administration principles, practices, and procedures on manual and automated systems
  • Experience with Welfare Benefits Plan preferred but not required
  • Thorough working knowledge of MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Willingness to learn Relius software systems
