  • Completes annual plan administration for all clients’ retirement plans
  • Gain a working knowledge of the various retirement plan types and basic compliance rules
  • Learns to address administrative issues, answer clients’ questions in regard to completion of Form 5500 and ongoing plan administration
  • Prepares plan reconciliations, plan documents, tax and informational returns
  • Processes tax and informational returns
  • Develops an understanding of various employer contribution allocations / calculations and non-discrimination testing
  • Development of skills with Retirement Plan Administration software, related software and investment platforms
  • Preparation of participant distribution paperwork for various investment platforms
  • Corresponds with clients on a regular basis and provides outstanding client support services
  • Acts as a point of contact for brokers, investment platforms and clients with regard to ongoing plan administration
  • Performs other Retirement Plan Administration related job duties
  • Demonstrates the ability and initiative to develop the skills necessary to advance to the level of RPS Senior Associate
  • Able to work independently to meet deadlines; while also able to effectively integrate into a team environment
  • Maintains professional appearance and demeanor reflective of the firm, and demonstrates effective organizational skills at all times
  • Self-study for ASPPA examinations and commitment to continuing professional education


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
  • 1+ years of experience with administration of qualified Retirement plans
  • Thorough working knowledge of MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Basic knowledge of keyboarding, ten-key adding machine, fax machine, copier, printer, and basic office computer
  • Willingness to learn Relius software systems
  • Willingness to complete the self-study necessary to successfully earn the ASPPA Qualified 401(k) Administrator designation
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment
