Heartland Retirement Plan Services, a department of Heartland Financial, is looking for a Retirement Plan Services Relationship Manager to manage relationships within Heartland’s footprint. Preferably, the position will be located in Dubuque, IA, Rockford, IL, or one of our Wisconsin locations.

The RPS Relationship Manager serves as the primary contact to manage the strategic aspects for assigned client relationships and increase the value of the partnership. They provide consultative and technical solutions in retirement regulatory compliance, trust fiduciary, investments, annual plan review and annual plan participant education.  They will serve as the:

  1. Primary point of contact for a designated book of clients and responsible for their overall satisfaction and retention.
  2. Meets with clients for investment, fiduciary, educational, and service purpose based on region.
  3. Responds to client requests, issues and/or problems promptly, efficiently and effectively.
  4. Communicates retirement plan testing results, law changes, new products, and issues proactively with clients.
  5. Responsible for the planning and execution of retirement education and enrollment meetings based on region.
  6. Responsible for explaining plan provisions, new regulations, and ensuring that restatements and amendments are executed timely and understood by the client.
  7. Works with a team promoting cooperation, respect and concern for client needs as well as fostering camaraderie within the group.
  8. Completes annual E-Learning Plan and Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) training as assigned and keeps up-to-date knowledge of BSA as it relates to the job function.
  9. Performs other duties as assigned.

QKA, QPA, APA, ERPA or QPFC and 3-5 years of consulting experience in qualified retirement plans is required.
