Job Description

We are currently seeking fun, positive minded individuals with creative thought, ability to thrive in a team environment for the position of Quality Control Specialist. Our organization is set up primarily around FT Williams and Pension Pro for plan management.  The responsibilities for this position consist of reviewing all client deliverables for accuracy and professional consistency. This includes ensuring compliance with IRS / DOL requirements, reviewing testing (including, but not limited to annual non-discrimination and coverage tests, ADP / ACP & top-heavy test), reviewing trust accounting and reconciliation for major platform plans with some self-directed brokerage accounts, review of Form 5500 Series. Most importantly, you will be required to build and foster relationships with our internal staff to be able to communicate compliance and policy issues and identify professional growth opportunities.  This position will report directly to a Senior Director and will be an integral part of the ongoing training, development and continuing education provided to internal staff.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Must have 5 plus years of administration experience working with retirement plans, plan sponsors and their financial advisors.
  • Ability to work and interact in a collaborative team environment of peers. 
  • Self-starting and independently motivated individual with ability to thrive in a remote environment. 
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Robust organizational and analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to interpret and follow plan document requirements, including notices and resolve technically complex topics.
  • Preference for those with working knowledge of FT Williams plan administration software.
  • Professional certifications / designations (earned or in progress) desired.
  • Ability to multi-task by proactively managing multiple projects and deadlines in a timely manner.
