Plan Service Consultant

Position:  Retirement Services – Plan Services Consultant (Levels 2-4)

Location: This position is based in Indianapolis, IN.  Will consider relo assistance for select candidates.

Position Type:  Full time, permanent position

Compensation:  Competitive base salary commensurate with experience level.  Additional bonus opportunity available.  Full benefits, 401k match, 100% employer paid pension, on-site medical clinic, fitness center and cafeteria. This position serves as a team member responsible for the day-to-day consultative servicing of our top tier employer sponsored retirement plan clients. 


  • Coordination of all service deliverables from the corporate office
  • Ensuring that all commitments and needs are addressed timely
  • Responsiveness to all client inquiries and requests
  • Hands-on problem resolution associated with operational processes (e.g. contributions, distributions, reporting, etc.)
  • Quarterly statement review and trouble-shooting;
  • Consultative communication of regulatory issues and trends for our clients’ consideration, as applicable
  • Coordinates resources to consistently meet expectations for all annual plan life-cycle events
  • Documents all significant commitments and interactions
  • Participates in departmental projects in collaboration with supporting service teams within the organization

Responsible as an individual and as a member of a team for the overall quality of service provided to internal and external customers. Responsible for the core activities of participant/client service, administrative record keeping including accuracy, timeliness and documentation of communication. Responsible for sharing information with internal customers and bringing decision-making issues/problems to their Supervisor. Must prioritize workload in compliance with established turnaround times and deadlines.


  • 4-year Bachelors’ Degree and 2 years of Retirement Services experience
    • Or, 2-year Associate’s Degree and 2 years Retirement Services experience

    • Or, 4+ years Retirement Services experience
  • Experience in retirement plan servicing and cross-tested plan design is needed.
  • ASPPA QKA or QPA; CEBS or RPA preferred.
  • Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to handle a heavy caseload and able to prioritize one’s work.
  • Able to meet established turnaround times and adhere to department accuracy standards.Requires strong math, accounting, and analytical abilities.
  • Need to take ownership of their work and complete the assigned tasks.
