Position: Retirement Services, Document Design Specialist / Consultant

Location: Indianapolis, IN (downtown, OneAmerica Tower)

  • Includes drafting plan amendments and plan restatements including 401(a) volume submitter, individually designed, 403(b), and 457(b) deferred compensation plans.  Prepare governmental filings relative to plan design changes.
  • Provide consultative plan design and technical assistance via plan design reviews and/or plan design discussions with prospective, new, or current plan sponsors.  Prepare explanatory letters, perform research and/or legislative project work, and respond to plan design inquiries from internal contacts, investment advisors, and retirement plan sponsors.  Contribute as a subject matter expert for various retirement services on-line or classroom courses.


  • Bachelor's Degree with 5+ years of Retirement Service experience
  • OR, 10+ years of experience as a retirement plan document drafter or closely related discipline
  • Experience to include plan document work, plan design consultation and /or technical research
  • Industry designations preferred, such as QKA, QPA or TGPC (either already achieved or actively pursuing)


  • Outstanding organizational skills
  • Demonstrated decision making skills
  • Technical knowledge of ERISA and current legislation
  • Experience in analysis and research
  • Excellent interpersonal & more formal communication skills (both written and verbal)
