WHAT YOU’LL DO

The Retirement Plan Administrator will service an individual caseload of small to medium sized defined contribution plans. The Retirement Plan Administrator will have a thorough knowledge of the legal and regulatory environment and experience developing retirement plan solutions for plan sponsors in order to meet sponsors’ and participants’ needs.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Collecting and analyzing annual employee census information to determine eligibility and vesting
  • Monitoring and testing of plans to ensure compliance with government regulations
  • Reconciling and verifying investment company activity
  • Oversee and administer all basic functions of daily financial activity
  • Preparing annual valuation reports
  • Preparing distribution and loan paperwork for plan participants
  • Preparing illustrations for existing and potential clients
  • Consulting with clients regarding plan operation and design
  • Drafting plan documents
  • Perform other duties as required

 

Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers/scanners, and ‘smart’ conference rooms.

 

Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.  Ability to lift 25lbs.

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

  • Minimum of high school diploma, AA or BA preferred
  • Minimum 3 years experience working in retirement plan administration
  • At least one of the following ASPPA credentials – QKA, QPA, CPC, ERPA – or working toward the attainment of one of these credentials
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experienced with the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proven competence in handling confidential information
  • Capability of being an effective team player
  • Highly motivated, organized and detail oriented
