Trinity is expanding its Defined Contribution practice in the Columbus area and is in need of a qualified individual interested serving as a Relationship Manager for DC client group.  

The candidate for this Relationship Manager position will need to possess strong communication skills and an ability to explain the complexities of an ADP / ACP test.  

Trinity is a leading regional, independent and non-producing Third-Party Administration firm located in Akron, Ohio and has regional offices in Columbus, Cincinnati and Louisville.  

Trinity collaborates with Plan Sponsors and their associated financial professional in delivering a highly effective administration and compliance solution for their employer sponsored plan.  

Trinity provides a fully array of administration and actuarial services for both defined contribution and defined benefit plans; and works with a full scope of Investment Providers, including mutual fund and insurance companies, brokerage firms and open-architecture arrangements.

Purpose:

The purpose of the Defined Contribution Relationship Manager is to assist the Team Leader in the proactive communication to Trinity’s Financial Advisor and Plan Sponsors clients.

Description:

This will include, but not be limited to, the following activities:

  • Execute and deliver Trinity’s vision, mission and value propositions.
  • Provide an accurate representation of the firm’s core message, values and philosophy.
  • Provide on-demand ERISA technical information to Plan Sponsor clients and their associated Financial Advisor.
  • Collaborate with other departments in delivering Trinity’s reports and anticipating the client’s questions.
  • Consistently fulfill Trinity’s Raving Fan service model to each client segment.
  • Conduct regular face-to-face meeting with Plan Sponsors and their associated Financial Advisor to review their qualified plan issues and Trinity services.
  • Resolve questions, disputes and conflicts with respect to administration and compliance issues and services provided by Trinity.
  • Proactively track and monitor all administration and compliance events and client communications.
  • Participate in sales presentations as necessary.
  • Schedule, draft and review communication and correspondence to DC clients.
  • Explain, in a clear manner, to Plan Sponsors and Financial Advisors the various aspects of Defined Contribution administration, including, but not limited to:
    • Plan Documents
    • Non-Discrimination Testing
    • Annual Return Forms 5500
    • Profit Sharing Allocations
    • Participant Distributions

Qualifications:

  • Residence in Columbus, Ohio
  • 3 – 5 years of experience in the qualified retirement plan industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • ASPPA QKA designation required or willing to attain.
  • Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Excellent attention to detail.
