Ameritas is looking for an Retirement Plans (RP) Specialist who will provide AIC
advisors with education, guidance, and support regarding the AIC RP operating model and manage the products available on the AIC RP Platform. The position will be responsible for managing and coordinating efforts to aggregate and maintain retirement plan
data through the use of third-party technology. The RP Specialist will serve as the liaison on all retirement plan product requests between Ameritas Distribution, field representatives, and AIC’s Compliance and Supervision teams Specialist will
manage and monitor the AIC RP product platform. The retirement Plans Product Specialist will serve as the liaison on all retirement plan products requests between Ameritas Distribution, field representatives and AIC’s Due Diligence
Understand AIC’s RP platform product features, benefits, compensation schedule, and operating model to maximize business value and achieve business goals.
Assist advisors with establishing and
maintaining a competitive and compliant retirement plan practice.
Coordinate the initial and ongoing aggregation of retirement plan data with a third-party technology platform.
Understand and communicate retirement plan education to
advisors, including the distinctions between investment education and investment advice.
Assist investment advisors, as applicable, with becoming a 3(21) fiduciary.
Work with internal and product provider marketing resources to coordinate
visual aids, sales and marketing materials, and training programs to promote the AIC RP platform.
Assist advisors in responding to retirement plan sponsor requests for proposals (RFPs).
Keep product communication materials (hard copy,
electronic, website) current with the appropriate product information.
Identify and assess the validity and feasibility of product opportunities based on the needs and goals of the target market. Determine what is worth adding or maintaining
on the platform.
Stay up-to-date with product knowledge, business flow and sales processes.
Monitor changes in the regulatory environment that impacts retirement plans business with guidance from compliance, operations and supervision
Act as the relationship manager between AIC and product providers to coordinate selling agreements and amendments.
Coordinate bringing new products to the Due Diligence team for review when as required.
Be the voice of the
AIC advisor by representing their views regarding changes to available products, forms, and the AIC RP operating model.
Act as the AIC RP platform expert to support AIC advisors and home office associates when questions and issues arise.
Coordinate and implement training for applicable home office departments (Operations, Supervision, Compliance, Shared Distribution) and advisors on the AIC RP platform.
Become knowledgeable regarding AIC RP compliance and supervisory related
functions to assist advisors in efficiently processing business.

Required Knowledge and Skills:
College degree in a business-related field
5+ years experience with retirement plans and an
understanding of related ERISA, DOL, FINRA and SEC Rules
FINRA Series 6 or 7 license
FINRA Series 63 / 65 or 66 license (or obtain within 6 months)
Strong understanding of Investment Education, 3(21), and 3(38)
