Under limited supervision, advise and educate corporate retirement plan sponsors and fiduciaries on technical, statutory, and regulatory matters relating to ERISA compliance. Retain the engagement of each of our clients and to
expand the services of that engagement where it is valuable to both the client and Pension Consultants, Inc. There is wide-ranging decision-making authority in fulfilling accountabilities.
Manage a portfolio of client relationships in a manner that ensures client satisfaction and loyalty.
Provide exceptional value to the client by delivering the services agreed to in the engagement.
Build relationships with key decision makers and establish yourself as a thought leader in the area of ERISA services.
Thoroughly understand and be able to communicate the clients unique plan information to stakeholders in a manner that is
easy to understand.
Work closely with other departments (Investment, Participant, Vendor) to provide a high level of client service.
Organize and lead committee meetings to ensure the client is meeting their fiduciary duty and
Prepare committee meeting minutes and other ERISA related documents ensuring the client is meeting their fiduciary duty and responsibility.
Prepare, analyze and communicate the annual plan compliance review.
Ensure the client is educated and knowledgeable regarding their duties under ERISA.
Work with third-party service providers to ensure all client needs and obligations are met.
Ability to travel independently 30% - 40% of the
time. Some overnight travel required.
Pursue the Mission of the firm and demonstrate the Guiding Principles in all interactions with stakeholders of the firm and the public.

Thorough and complete knowledge of ERISA and the retirement planning industry.
Ability to read, interpret, and apply plan document provisions.

Strong computer skills including Microsoft products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CRM Dynamics, and
Experience & Education
Bachelor’s degree required. QPA or Juris Doctorate preferred.
1-3 years of employer sponsored retirement plan administration or consulting
