A Glendale based TPA is looking for an Administration Department Manager who shall direct all activities and functions for the Administration
Department. Candidates must have at least 5+ years of experience in valuation and contribution calculations, preparation of government reporting forms and have a college degree.
Job duties to include the following:
timely and accurate delivery of contribution calculation and IRS forms to consultants.
Ensure compliance with benefits administration regulations.
Ensure proper procedure, documentation and policies are in place and followed to insure
accuracy and efficiency.
Develop, implement and oversee department monitoring program.
Proactively identify and drive initiatives in the areas of process improvement, standardization and efficiency.
Communicate and interact with
other department managers to ensure quality and timely delivery of services.
Ensure proper workloads, work methods and performance standards are being met.
Conduct required departmental and customer service auditing functions.
Ensure staff follows personnel and timekeeping policies.
Support and maintain employee morale and job satisfaction.
Make decisions and recommendations regarding staffing including hiring, terminating and promoting staff.
Develop, implement and oversee Administrators training programs.
Conduct regular Administration meetings.
Use proactive performance management including giving feedback and coaching, conducting evaluations, developing and monitoring
performance improvement plans and conducting disciplinary action as needed.
Implement staff succession plan.
5+ years pension administration experience requiring analysis, detail
orientation and customer service preferred.
Competence in all areas of plan administration commensurate with a Senior Plan Administrator.
Ability to effectively communicate, both in writing and orally, with a wide range of internal and
external contacts in a professional manner.
Ability to work under pressure of deadlines and demanding clients while remaining calm.
Good organizational skills and ability to set priorities consistent with service standards.
Analytical and critical thinking skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Software Skills: Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, Adobe.
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or business
